Guardian Squadron is the aviation detachment of the 597th. Guardian is a support element for the main infantry force, responsible for providing reinserts, close air support, air superiority, resupply and reconnaissance. To achieve this, we fly a variety of airframes. 

To join Guardian you must have done BCT, from there you will be tested by flight lead and have flown over 5 main ops with us. Then you can be considered for a billeted role in Guardian. If not deemed to fly not to worry, the flight lead will be assigned as a Co-Pilot and be taught to fly as time progresses
